We are here to be people who help people find and follow Jesus. We are part of a larger ministry family called the Free Methodist Church. The FMC has a rich history with roots in the Wesleyan movement. You can find out more about what we believe HERE.
An often-asked question, but the Free Methodist Church is not the United Methodist Church. We love our UMC brothers and sisters, but the structure and polity of the FMC is separate. But above all else, we worship Jesus of Nazareth, The Christ.
Our story is part of a larger story rooted in Jesus and birthing a focus (in 1860) on freedom of people, freedom from division of social classes, and freedom in worship. Lawrence Free Methodist Church was started in 1872 and this many years later, we’re still passionate about freedom. We're even more passionate about Jesus.
